My weekends have always been pretty hectic. I'm always booked way before the weekend even starts. And this was when I was single. Add in a boyfriend and now I have to try to and squeeze in as much time with different people in so little time because everyone knows I never go out during the week. For the 4 days I'm off for New Years, I already had a schedule of who I was going to hang out with ahead of time. Then Aprille texts me New Years day which was Thursday and her day.
Ape: Hey, can we just hang out on Friday night instead of tonight? These [Guam] people are being party poopers.
me: I can't hang out Friday, I'm seeing Jason.
Ape: Can you see him tonight instead and see me Friday?
me: Let me ask if he is cool with switching days with you.
[Goes and asks Jason if he's ok with switching days with Aprille]
me: Ape, so Jason is ok with it. He has custody of me tonight, and you have custody of me Friday and Saturday.
I'm glad Jason is so understanding. I told him that I don't want to disappear on my friends just because I have a boyfriend like I did in the past. To prevent me from disappearing, I've given Jason my rest days [Fridays] so I can hang out with him since Saturdays is when I see my friends. Sundays will always be for my family.
